Concert-Hommage à Jean LANGLAIS
Institution Nationale des Jeunes Aveugles, Paris (France)
Special Homage to Jean LANGLAIS who has been both pupil and teacher at the parisian National Institute for the Blind for 50 years (1917-1967).
He will be celebeated by some of the present blind pupils at the Institution and some of his former students.
The programme includes Petite Suite and Suite Armoricaine (piano), 8 Pieces for hautbois and organ, Missa in Simplicitate for voice and organ, organ solo pieces ("Acclamations carolingiennes" from Suite Medievale, Double Fantaisie for 2 organists. With Agnes ROBERT, soprano, Loïc PAUCHET, oboe, Marie-Louise LANGLAIS, Dominique LEVACQUE and André PAGENEL, organ.

New Reed Organ special dedication

To mark the end of the Jean Langlais centenary festivities organized by the "Association des amis de Jean Langlais" in his native village of La Fontenelle, the Association presents, during the mass presided by Mgr Pierre d'ORNELLAS, archibishop of Rennes, Dol and St Malo, and in a special presentation concert given by Marie-Louise LANGLAIS and Sylvie MALLET, a reed organ (3 manuals, pedal) purchased by the Association at the occasion of the centenary.
